About Us

Help Us Build a Supportive Community to Empower South Asian Immigrant Women

Imagine stepping into a foreign land, filled with dreams of a brighter future but faced with profound loneliness, cultural barriers, and the daunting challenge of starting over. For countless South Asian immigrant women in the United States, this is their daily reality. Leaving behind their families and familiar lives, they encounter a new world that often feels isolating and overwhelming. The weight of visa pressures, financial struggles, and identity crises takes a toll on their confidence, mental health, and sense of belonging.

At Vahati, we believe no woman should have to face these struggles alone. We are a supportive and inclusive community dedicated to helping South Asian immigrant women connect, grow, and thrive. In just a few months, we’ve touched the lives of over 150 women through workshops, peer support circles, and storytelling events. These spaces have become lifelines, places where women can rediscover their potential, share their journeys, and find hope.

Your Generosity Has the Power to Change Lives

Lakshmi, who came to the U.S. on a dependent visa, struggled to rebuild her life in an unfamiliar place. Through Vahati, she found the tools, resources, and support to regain her confidence and sense of direction. Vyshnavi, a professional navigating life far from home, found solace and empowerment in connecting with others who understood her journey. Nischala, living in the U.S. for 9+ years, shared: “What I love most about Vahati is women showing up for each other. It’s hard to feel connected here unless we go out of our way to meet people. This community reminded me that I’m not alone, and navigating life’s challenges becomes easier when we support each other. I’m excited to see Vahati’s momentum grow.” These stories illustrate the profound impact of community and the resilience it fosters.
